Since 1985, Senator Windows has been at the forefront of Ireland’s window industry, offering homeowners new technologies, materials and systems to improve insulation, increase longevity and minimise maintenance. Aluminium has been a popular material for many years, with recent innovations leading to a significant increase in demand for products like Senator’s Sensations range of windows, bi-folds, sliders and front and rear doors.

A key ingredient in the success of Aluminium as a material for windows and doors, is precision fabrication. Senator’s recent acquisition of the ‘Emmegi Comet X6HP’ fabrication system, is a significant advance in our capacity for precision aluminium tooling and assembly. The new machine is the second Emmegi machine at Senator’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Wexford Town, where the company has produced in excess of a million windows and doors – so far.

Italian company Emmegi is the leading producer of precision fabrication equipment for aluminium, PVC, steel and light alloys. The Comet X6HP uses the very latest digital and tooling innovations which allow it to work on four separate pieces simultaneously. This not only brings speed and precision to the manufacturing process, it also offers homeowners more choice and flexibility in fabrication and accessorising. In short, the Emmegi Comet is helping Senator deliver on our promise of high standards and the commitment to excellence which has made Senator Windows a trusted Irish brand.

“With demand for our aluminium products increasing, particularly in residential, the timing of this investment couldn’t be better.” Says Owen Power, Senator MD, “And we’re delighted to be one of the first companies in Europe to opt for the new Comet X6HP. The support and service we’ve received from Emmegi shows our two businesses have a great deal in common!”
