The Role of Windows in Delivering Cost Effective NZEB

Senator Windows was delighted to deliver their first CPD course this January entitled “The role of Windows in delivering cost effective NZEB”. CPD stands for continuous professional development and involves the development of professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Back in 2010, the European Parliament announced nZEB through the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. At that stage, it was agreed by EU member states to ensure that by December 31, 2020 all new buildings would be nZEB (note: all commercial buildings constructed in Ireland since January 1st of 2019 must already be of nZEB standard).

The event started with local architects gathering at the new 2000 sq. ft. Senator Windows Wexford Showroom where they got to see over 40 products on display. An informative and enthusiastic presentation was given by Tomas O’Leary (Mosart) on “The Role of Windows in Delivering Cost Effective NZEB” followed by a Factory Tour of the state-of-the-art facility at Senator Windows Wexford. After a networking lunch, the day was finished off with a bus trip to a local development site to see a live window installation of Senators triple glazed uPVC window.
