A modern new build family home with a traditional twist

The Task

Anthony and Eadaoin Roche had their hearts set on a certain style of window for their home. They wanted the traditional styling of vertical sliding sash windows, and their Senator dealer worked with them to achieve the look they were aiming for.

The Solution

Set in the heart of the countryside, this home has views of the surrounding landscape from all aspects and Eadaoin and Anthonys choice of windows and doors work perfectly to take advantage of this. They opted for cream uPVC vertical sliding sash windows for the front as well as casement windows at the back of the house. The addition of Georgian bars to the vertical sliding sash windows achieves a traditional Georgian design.

Their kitchen features a corner window combining a picture and casement window, which gives an opening but also makes the most of the amazing views and light. The kitchen is further enhanced by a Senator Aluminium Lift & Slide Door, offering expansive glass areas that seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Eadaoin and Anthony picked blue for their doors and decided on the Johnstown Sentinel Composite Door for the front with traditional Georgian bar effect, clear glass and gold handles. All doors are triple glazed as standard, and they added a side light to the door to increase the brightness in their hallway. They selected a half-glazed uPVC residential door for the back of the house. The blue colour of their front and back doors is carried seamlessly through the décor of their home to create a cohesive look throughout.
