Senator Windows Join the ‘Q’
Senator Windows joined the EIQA in celebrating the ‘Q’ in a fantastic parade on Grafton Street featuring music legends U2, colourful fire dragons, carnival queens, the iconic James Joyce and a host of other quirky characters from renowned entertainment group, Arcana.
“Providing the highest standards of quality and excellence for our customers is what we are all about,” commentated Keith Ogilvie, Customer Care Manager, Senator Windows. “We were delighted to be invited to the launch of the new Q Mark as the Q Mark is regarded as the national symbol of quality and excellence. The fact that Senator Windows ‘business quality’ is assured in this way, demonstrates to our customers, our commitment and confidence in our products.”
Senator Windows is a finalist in this year’s National Quality & Excellence Awards in the category of Q Mark for Manufacturing.
Founded in 1985, Senator manufactures PVC products, and supplies timber products for the replacement and new building markets in Ireland, both north and south. Senator also manufactures aluminium products for the commercial glazing industry.
The Q Mark is awarded only to companies who achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence, with Q Mark criteria ensuring that clients exceed legal requirements rather than simply adhering to them. This further assures consumers that companies such as Senator Windows who hold the ‘Q’’ are committed to continuous improvement and best practice.
Speaking at the launch, Irene Collins, Managing Director, EIQA said: “We are delighted that so many of our customers were able to join us at such an exciting event in celebration of the Q Mark. The launch of Q Mark is effectively a return to a recognised symbol that guarantees consumers that when they purchase a product or service that carries the Q Mark symbol; they are purchasing a product or service of the highest quality. The Q Mark is a must for any business or organisation!”
All certification and awards offered by EIQA will now come under the Q Mark umbrella and include Q Mark for Hygiene and Food Safety; Q Mark for Quality Management Systems; Q Mark for Nursing Homes, Q Mark for Leisure Centres and the recently launched Q Mark for Accessibility (ABLE Business Excellence Award).
The EIQA offers its programmes across all sectors, with customers in retail, food service, manufacturing, institutions, prison services, government, healthcare, business and professional services, financial institutions, nursing homes, leisure centres and not for profit organisations.
The new Q Mark awards and certifications will be officially unveiled at this year’s EIQA Quality & Excellence Awards on Friday, 30th October, 2009 at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin.
