Our Sentinel A Rated Door is the key to your protection – May 2012
SUMMER SPECIAL OFFER – UP TO 15% on our range of Sentinel Composite Doors
Senator Windows are proud to announce that they are the first Irish Company to be awarded an A Energy Rating for their composite doors under the BFRC’s new Door Energy Rating Scheme.
Every Senator Sentinel Composite Door now comes with an A Energy Rating certificate. Until now home owners in Ireland were unable to easily access the energy efficiency properties of the doors they were purchasing or were unable to quickly compare the product, this all changes with the new BRFC Door Energy Rating (DER) scheme. The scheme will use the renowned and distinctive European energy-rating label, already familiar on windows and other domestic goods like refrigerators and freezers.
We are delighted at the news, said National Sales Manager John O’Connell. “Our customers know that Senator Windows’ success is based on quality and the best technology. We were first in Ireland to achieve the Q-Mark, Irish Agrement Board certification, the Kitemark and ISO 9000 and a BFRC energy rating label for our casement windows and now we are proud to add another first to the list, reinforcing our position as market leaders.”
John also added “All of our Sentinel doors exceed the current Building Regulations Part L 2011 for energy efficiency. Under the legislation, all new doors sold and fitted must have a U-value of 1.65W/m2K or less. Our Sentinel Solid Doors have a u value of .85W/m2K, while our partially glazed doors have a u value of .98W/m2K far exceeding these building regulations. The door’s U-value is a measure of its energy efficiency, and the lower the U-value, the more energy efficient the door”.
