Energy Saving Recommended: Change in Glazing Certification Criteria
Glazing has been endorsed under the Energy Saving Recommended scheme since February 2005. The certification criteria have been updated to reflect increased market penetration of endorsed products and updated standards.
The criteria for Energy Saving Recommended glazing will be:Window Energy Rating label of B or above from British Fenestration® Rating Council (or equivalent).

Senator Windows announce the launch of their Energy Scrappage Scheme for Windows and Doors

A growing number of people are becoming energy aware and conscious of the savings that can be made; they are searching the market for the best value when it comes to installing energy efficient windows and doors. Senator Windows, who are leaders in certified energy saving products, have come up with a fantastic offer that is sure to be a big incentive to consumers to replace their old windows and doors.
To coincide with the launch of their new Senergy “A” rated windows, Senator Windows has announced this “Energy Scrappage Scheme.” It is the first of its kind in the window industry and is a great offer for the consumer. In a ground breaking initiative, Senator Windows will refund the customer €50 for every window or door replaced on orders received until the end of May. Senator is stepping in with this scheme because they believe that windows should have been included in the Government’s grant scheme to insulate your home.

Senator Windows achieves “A” rated label for windows
Local company Senator Windows has been awarded a new “A” rated Certificate for its new Senergy Casement Windows by the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC), which is the body responsible for window energy ratings in the UK. Windows, like many of the domestic goods we buy, can now be energy rated with the A to E label that we are all familiar with, but only windows assessed by the BFRC have the right to display the label. Senator Windows had to pass a rigorous assessment process in order to achieve an energy rating for its windows and now can offer to householders looking for a more energy efficient option.
